This is a partial reconstruction of the Lafayette Pro Fiber blog that John St. Julien ran for many years, chronicling the grassroots fight for and establishment of LUS Fiber in Louisiana. Many of the links have gone bad and images are missing, but most of the ideas are here and we believe well worth preserving. In a letter to the editor today David Motes complains:
It is with dismay and deep frustration that while away on a business trip in Connecticut, I learned that yet again the will of the majority of the people of Lafayette has been thwarted by the special interests of a very few.
He goes on to express his anger with the incumbents and their allies.
